It provides a trusted, visible standard for organisations that demonstrate a clear commitment to charitable giving and social responsibility.
What the Quality Mark Recognises
The Quality Mark celebrates employers who:
Are approved by HMRC
Operate as charities or not-for-profit organisations
Administer Payroll Giving schemes for employers
Uphold the shared values and standards of Payroll Giving
Award Levels
There are five possible levels of recognition, awarded through a points system:
Bronze
Silver
Gold
Platinum
Diamond
How Points Are Earned?
Points are awarded based on two main areas: employee participation rate, and employer actions. Examples of employer actions include for instance:
Paying administration fees
Matching donations
Hosting promotional events
Running digital campaigns
Points scale depending on the size of the organisation to ensure fairness across employers of all sizes.

Eligibility
To qualify for a Payroll Giving Quality Mark, an employer must operate a Payroll Giving scheme with one of APGO's member agencies.
Getting Started
Employers without an existing scheme can begin the process by opening a Payroll Giving scheme with a member agency before applying for a Quality Mark.
