The Association of Payroll Giving Organisations (APGO)
We are the representative body for Payroll Giving Agencies (PGAs) across the UK. We exist to bring together the organisations that administer Payroll Giving, ensuring the scheme operates with clarity, consistency and trust for employers, charities and donors.
Our Purpose
APGO exists to uphold and strengthen Payroll Giving as a credible, effective and sustainable way for people to support good causes through the workplace.
We do this by supporting our member agencies, promoting best practice and providing clear, reliable information to employers, charities and the wider sector.
What We Do
Our role is focused on standards, collaboration and guidance. We:
Support and represent our member Payroll Giving Agencies
Promote shared standards and best practice across the sector
Provide clear information about how Payroll Giving works
Oversee and manage the Payroll Giving Quality Mark
Represent Payroll Giving in discussions with government and sector stakeholders
Encourage confidence, transparency and long-term sustainability in workplace giving
Our Approach
APGO operates as a collaborative, standards-led organisation. We are not a fundraising body and we do not run Payroll Giving schemes directly.
Our role is to support the organisations that do, and to ensure that employers, employees and charities can engage with Payroll Giving with confidence.
Working With the Sector
We work closely with a range of organisations to ensure Payroll Giving continues to evolve in a way that is trusted, effective and accessible.

Looking Ahead
APGO remains focused on strengthening the clarity, credibility and consistency of Payroll Giving across the UK.
By supporting high standards and encouraging good practice, we aim to ensure Payroll Giving continues to deliver meaningful, long-term benefit for charities, employers and donors alike.
